Dennis Ray Lorain

Dennis Lorain, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Quail Run in the Mennonite Village after a 3-month battle with cancer. He was the son of Earl and Margaret (Krauth) Lorain and was born in Denver, Colorado.
Dennis could be found in his big vegetable garden which he grew every year from 1967 until he was no longer able to do so. He also was extremely talented in fixing/repairing small engines and after he retired, he opened a repair shop and kept busy fixing small machines there.
Dennis is survived by wife, Ferne (Boshart), of nearly 59 years, daughter Dennette Tallis (Barry) of Clermont, Florida, and son, Kevin (Julie Christman) of Albany, Oregon, sisters Rebecca Henningson of Parker, Colorado, and Naomi Addenbrooke of Denison, Kansas. He and Ferne have 6 grandchildren, Mahlia Dooley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Hannah Lorain of Albany, Oregon, Emily Howry of Albany, Oregon, Peyton Suffi of Leesburg, Florida, Rylee Adams of Clermont, Florida, and Parker Tallis of Clermont, Florida, and two great-grandsons, Enoch and Lincoln.
Dennis was preceded in death by sisters Freda Hagedorn and Lois Evans, and great grandson Beckett Suffi.
