Dennis Makert Obituary
Born March 11, 1943 in Berwick, he was the son of the late J. Nelson and Hazle (Laubaugh) Mackert.
A graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1961, he went on to Wilkes-Barre Business College, where he earned his Associate's Degree in Business in 1964. He served as a sergeant during the Vietnam War as a Platoon Leader.
Mr. Mackert was a self-employed electrician for his company, Mackert Electric.
Dennis was a member of the Berwick Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Donna Smith; and his son, Jamee Mackert of Berwick.
A private interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick.

Sending heartfelt condolences to Denny's family. His mother Hazel was a dear friend of my aunt Louise Sands. Hazel & I spent time together and she would always talk about her Denny. May God be with you and give you peace & comfort.
