Dennis Scott Meloncon

Dennis Scott Meloncon, 56, of Hamshire, died Monday, September 18, 2023. He was born December 11, 1966, in Port Arthur, to Sandra and Joe Meloncon.
Dennis worked for over thirty years at the Beaumont Enterprise a job he truly loved. He was able to see the news firsthand and follow his obsession with all things sports. As an avid sports fan with a phenomenal memory, there was never a trivia question he couldn't answer. He held a special affinity and fandom for the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns football. He loved to play pool and was a long time APA player in the greater Beaumont area, and most recently, he captained a team, Dazed and Confused, which for all those who knew him was a remarkably apt name. He will be most remembered for his steadfast commitment to a simple and joyful life comprised of small pleasures and the love of his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother; sisters, Janet Lemons and her husband, Riley, Melisa Armentor and her husband, Mark, and Lisa Meloncon and her husband, Harry; nephews, Coby, Jacob, and Daniel Armentor, and Nicholas Quintana.
He is preceded in death by his father.
His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
