Dennis Mae Moss

With heavy hearts yet joyful spirits, we gather to celebrate the extraordinary life of Ms. Dennis Mae Moss, who departed from this world on November 13, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on October 9, 1943, in the serene town of Wattsville, Alabama, to Dennis and Jeanette Moss, she radiated warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith throughout her life.

From her earliest days, Dennis accepted Christ into her heart, joining Rocky Zion Baptist Church in Pell City, Alabama. There, she was rooted in a foundation of love, compassion, and community. Her life was a testament to positivity, humility, and a deep affection for family. Dennis's legacy is not one marked solely by years but by the love she cultivated and shared with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Dennis was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Yvonne Michelle (Moss) Knight, and a host of siblings who surely welcomed her with open arms as she entered the eternal embrace of God: her parents, Dennis and Jeanette Moss, three brothers-Mr. Acie Moss, Mr. Early Moss, and Mr. Ervin Moss-and nine cherished sisters, including Ms. Vandora Moss Hubbard Bean, Ms. Estell Moss Robbins, Ms. Revella Moss Moore, Ms. Bernice Moss Cannon, Ms. Josephine Moss Oden, Ms. Earline Moss Gover, Ms. Ida Moss White, Ms. Lucille Moss Allen, and Ms. Ernestine Moss Dixon among others.

Her family ties were her treasure, and she leaves behind a legacy that will carry on through her beloved sister, Nettie Pearl Moss McGraw of Youngstown, Ohio, and brother Greg Moss, who she lovingly raised alongside her parents. She will be deeply missed by her adoring grandchildren, Shronica Denise Moss (Jeremiah Jarrad), George Moss, and Spencer Knight-each a shining reflection of her love and joy. The hearts she touched are found in a vast network of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends, each one carrying forward the compassion and strength she imparted.

As we look to the horizon, we know that while her earthly journey has concluded, her spirit remains alive within us-nestled in the laughter of her grandchildren and in the memories forged during countless family gatherings. The love she spread like sunshine blooms eternally, reminding us to cherish each other and celebrate the ties that bind us.
