Ronald Moss Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Nov. 18, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Ronald Blair Moss, 79, of Birmingham/Midland, Michigan, breathed his last earthly breath and started eternity with his Savior on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, but grew up in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Ron lived a full and meaningful life marked by faith, service, laughter, and deep love for his wife and family. He built a long and respected career as a sales manager with Fort Howard Paper Company and later served as the resident property manager for the Merrillwood Collection in Birmingham, Michigan.
Ron had many passions, but none more defining than his love for Jesus Christ and God's Word. He was dedicated to daily reading of the Holy Scriptures and found great joy throughout his life in singing - whether performing solos or raising his voice as part of the church choir at Highland Park Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, fishing, traveling throughout Michigan, the United States and around the world. He loved spending time with his wife, family, grandchildren and many dear friends.
A particularly formative period of Ron's life was his time with Youth For Christ as a young man. He traveled internationally, singing and sharing his faith in many countries - an experience that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 53 years, Margaret Moss, his children Catherine Webb and Brian (Kimberly) Moss as well as his cherished grandchildren Alexander (Brittini and great-grandson Kaison) Webb, Amanda (Logan) Rechsteiner, Joel (Avery) Webb, Jason (Laighla) Webb, Silas and Micah Moss. He is also survived by his dear sister Melvina (Joseph) Rushnock and nephews Joseph (Maryanne) Rushnock and Darren (Marianne) Rushnock. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Caroline Moss.
A memorial service will be held at GraceWay Bible Church (formerly Highland Park Baptist Church), located at 28600 Lahser Road, Southfield, MI 48076, on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at 12:00PM. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Youth For Christ at [email protected], honoring the ministry that so deeply shaped Ron's life.

It asked me to share a memory. How can I choose one memory of my little baby brother called small fry. My first memory of you was mommy's big belly once there and a week later, not there, but in her arms instead.
Was a tiny baby.
Stoppedin to a blue bunting. I was pushed aside because all the Italian women in the neighborhood were gathered around to admire the new life. Memories of Christmas Es when small fry had to go downstairs frst lest he be crushed by the stampede of many children, some who were foster children. . Memories of my brother, sharing our parents relocating to heaven memories of weddings and Funerals and thanksgiving n arguments and hugs to make up for the argument.I love Roonnie and I miss him with all my heart. I miss oour Monday ritual of the phone ringing exactly at eight thirty a m for our weekly catch up. Our last gadfish was probably our best as he was so excited over the new house and raking leagues outside with his daughter, we talked for 45 minutes that day and we closed out by saying I love you Ron, and he said, I love you, Sis.

I'll be seeing you soon, Ss, keep the front porch light on for me
