Dennis Lee Nail

Dennis Lee Nail, 72, of High Shoals, NC, passed away on March 2, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Born August 6, 1953 in Montague, MA, he was the son of the late Marion Nail and Lorraine Taylor Nail. Dennis served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps, during which time he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, always there to be supportive or lend some wisdom. He was a great teacher for his sons who modeled hard work and dedication every day of his life. Dennis was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and his grandchildren adored their "Poppy" just as much as he adored them. Dennis was strong in every definition of the word, a loving patriarch who took joy in a job well done and in providing for his family. His legacy is secure as an inspiration and example to all those he leaves behind.

Sons: Jason Nail (Melanie) of Kings Mountain, NC and Ryan Nail (Brandy) of Dallas, NC

Grandchildren: Jozie Herrera (Erasmo), Alexis Connor, Alexander Nail, and Michael Nail

Great-grandson: Cyrus Stewart

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Setzer officiating

VISITATION: Friday, March 6, 2026, prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:50 P.M. in the parlor of Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
