Edward Anthony Roberts, 85, of York, SC, passed away on March 02, 2026 at his home. He was born April 15, 1940 in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Pinkney and Lois Falls Roberts and was preceded in death by his siblings, David, Junior, Isabelle, Edith, Ethel, Jin, and Dot. Eddie served the United States honorably in the US Navy. After his service, he began a career in telecommunications, first working for Bellsouth and ultimately retiring from AT&T. Eddie attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in York. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends on camping trips. Eddie loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time playing Super Nintendo. He was a wonderful father and grandfather to two generations and a faithful friend. His memory will warm the hearts of his loved ones for a lifetime.

SURVIVORS: Children: Jeffery Roberts (Kimberly) and Mary Judd (Buddy), both of York, SC

Grandchildren: Anna Wilder (Paul), Michelle, Jennifer, and Jake Roberts, Ashley and Kyle Jensen, Alicia (Jeremy Vroman) and James (Meta Miles) Judd

Great Grandchildren: Clarissa, Hailey, and Remi Duckworth, Jeremiah Vroman, Caroline and Corinne Brantley, and Genevieve and Abigail Harrington

Former Wife: Mary L. Roberts

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, March 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery, with Pastor Christopher Rollins officiating. The family will speak with attendees immediately following the service in the cemetery
