Dennis Pyle Obituary
He was born in Hammond, IN on June 4, 1952 to Harley and Frances (Seifrig) Pyle.
On August 26, 1972, Dennis married Hope (Keatts) Pyle in Gary, IN.
Dennis worked for Chicago Flame Hardening as a Heat Treater/Flame Hardener for 38 ½ years before retiring in 2012. Dennis and Hope have one son, Greg Pyle of Louisiana; and one grandson, Matthew Pyle of Austin, TX. Dennis loved to spend time fishing and was a member of the Porter County Conservation Club where he helped teach children how to fish. His motto was "no one goes home without catching a fish!"
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Hope; one son, Greg; one grandson, Matthew; siblings, Donnie (Sandy) Pyle, Roger (Reba) Pyle, and Richard (Eugenia) Pyle all of Rocky Top, TN, and Steve Pyle and Stanley (Doris) Pyle both of Lake City, TN, Anna Keown of Griffith, IN, and Sue Heorx of Springfield, MA; as well as, nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents; and one brother, Harold Gene Pyle.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025 Graceland Cemetery Chapel, 1505 Morthland Dr., Valparaiso with Rev. Doug Dykstra officiating. A visitation and viewing will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in the chapel until time of service. Burial will take place immediately following services. Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park is caring for services.
