Of Clarence Center, NY. Beloved husband of 58 years to Angela Mary (nee Grisanti) Scherer. Son of the late Edwin J. and Gerd (nee Hansen) Scherer. Dear father of Jessica M. Scherer (Victor) Viola and Erica A. (Curtis Parker) Scherer, and cherished grandfather of Alexandra Scherer Viola, Simone Scherer Viola, and Nina Denise Parker. Brother of Susan (Robert) Stephenson and the late Michael Scherer. Also survived by sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Denny will always be remembered for his stories and sense of humor, and by the windsurfing, snowboarding, and local art show and festival communities. He was a talented sheet metal journeyman and the craftsman of Kurv Dome Metal Shop, and he transformed his passion for metalwork into creating artwork and jewelry. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. Relatives and friends may visit the (Harris Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8440 Main St., on Monday, February 2nd from 3 PM to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church, Swormville (6919 Transit Rd, East Amherst) on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis' memory to Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo or the Roswell Park Pancreatic Cancer Department. Please share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Denny. He was amazing!
Skiing, wind surfing . He did it all. I would love to hear his stories and I would be laughing the whole time! I have missed seeing the family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you

Dear Angie and Family: You may recall we were neighbors in Tonawanda, New York, in the late sixties. Our children played together with other neighborhood children. I am visiting my son, Shawn, in Arizona. I am sorry for your loss. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
