With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Dennis Melville Snell, beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, who left this world on August 3, 2025, at the age of 78.

Dennis was many things-a quick wit, a kind soul, a man who could turn any room into a celebration. He was the kind of person you wanted at your table, your tee time, and in your corner. With his signature humor and jovial laugh, he brought joy wherever he went. He didn't just tell jokes-he was the joke, the story, and the laugh that lingered long after the party ended.

A lifelong lover of golf, Dennis found his happy place on the golf course, especially when the sun was shining and the company was good. He was always up for a round, always convinced the next shot was definitely going to be the best one yet. Golf wasn't just a game for him; it was a way of life.

But Dennis's greatest pride was his family. He was steadfast in love, generous with time, and endlessly proud of those he held closest. He is preceded in death by his brother and sister, Gordon Snell and Lynda Longsine, and his loving sister-in-law, Judy Wick.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen, who was his partner in every adventure and the love of his life. He also leaves behind his daughter, Cameron (John), who was his light and his greatest joy; and he beamed with pride as a grandfather to Caroline and Vivienne, who brought him endless laughter and love. Dennis is also survived by his sister, Kim Phan; brother-in-law, Ron Wick; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and legions of friends, all of whom knew they could count on Dennis for a laugh, a lesson, or a good story.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy life like Dennis did-play a round of golf, tell a great joke, or simply spend time with the people you love most.

Dennis, your laughter echoes in our hearts. We'll miss you more than words can say. We'll see you on the back nine one day.
