Dennis Ray St.Clair, 69 of Glen Daniel, West Virginia departed this life on December 16th, 2023 at his winter residence in Hernando, Florida. Dennis was born June 8th, 1954 in Beckley, West Virginia, to the late Ray and Norita St.Clair . Dennis graduated from Sophia High School with the class of 1972. Post Graduation he entered into a career as a coal miner at multiple locations for over 30 + years where he made many life-long friendships. In his spare time Dennis enjoyed many different activities which included hunting, fishing, camping, auctions, woodworking, multiple DIY projects, and spending time with his family and friends. As a grandpa he was always there to support his grandchildren, and was their biggest fan no matter the sport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Benny St.Clair, and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Reva Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and best friend of 12 years, Karen Smith St.Clair, Two Sons - Jeffrey St.Clair and wife Maria of Thomasville, NC and Chris St.Clair and Fiancé Heather Miller of Sophia, WV. Four Grandsons – Chase St.Clair , Sawyer St.Clair, Grady St.Clair and Cole Greene. Three Granddaughters – Addyson St.Clair, Phoebe St.Clair, and Kylee St.Clair. Dennis will also leave behind his little girl “Sugar Baby” who was his dog and companion along with a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Calfee Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Elmore officiating. He will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
