Dennis Norman Thomas

Dennis Norman Thomas, 72, of Macungie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at St. Luke's University Health Network in Allentown. He was the fiancé of Lori L. Polster and the widower of Ellen A. (Geist) Thomas, who passed away on August 19, 1997.

Born in Palmerton, PA, Dennis was the son of the late Millard "Bill" Thomas and Charlotte E. (Neff) Thomas. He was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and later attended and graduated from Ryder Technical Institute.

For over 51 years, Dennis worked as a draftsman at Allen Organ Company in Macungie, where he remained actively employed. His expertise in designing and drafting circuit boards was a vital part of the company's work.

A dedicated volunteer, Dennis helped others wherever he could. He volunteered for the Cub Scouts when his son was younger and served as Cubmaster. He was a devoted member of Huff's Union Church in Alburtis, where he dedicated his time and efforts to serving the church and its community. He was also a board member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club and treasurer of the former Macungie Fire Company Social Quarters. Known for his warm spirit and gentle humor, he brightened the lives of those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Along with his fiancé and partner of 18 years, Lori, Dennis is survived by his three children: Wendy C. (Thomas) Schmoyer, wife of Mark R. Schmoyer of Weisenberg Township; Michelle L. (Thomas) Falorio, wife of Jason T. Falorio of Pittsburgh; and Brian C. Thomas of Macungie. He was a proud grandfather to Nicholas, Ariana, Dominick, and Payton. He is also survived by his siblings: Gerald Thomas of Macungie; Donald Thomas and his wife, Monica, of Pennsburg; Jane (Thomas) Kauffman and her husband, Jeff, of Cape Coral, FL; and June Thomas of Alburtis, along with many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Huff's Union Church (540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA). A funeral service to celebrate and honor Dennis's life will follow at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will take place afterward in Huff Church Union Cemetery.
