Dennis TOOPS Obituary

Dennis R. Toops, son of Harry and Edna (Sein) Toops, was born June 6, 1953, in Lebanon, Missouri and departed this life October 16, 2025 in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years.

He attended Mullicane School and was proud of his accomplishments there from kindergarten till the eighth grade. He continued his Highschool career at Lebanon High School and completed Junior year. He then decided, there was more to learn from the world than in a classroom. He had a thirst for knowledge and truly enjoyed learning new things from his day to day life. He prided himself in being independent and self taught in many aspects. He worked construction and was good with his hands. He could fix just about anything that needed fixing.

Dennis, also known as "Blue Streak" or "Blue", nicknames he was often referred to as, having received for his cherished Blue Motorcycle that he had found and rebuilt by himself, was a simple man and he enjoyed the little things in life.

On March 25, 1977, Dennis was united in marriage with his forever love, Kathy Caudle. To this union were two children Denny and Josh Toops. However, Kathy had two boys Darain and Todd who were just youngsters at the time. Dennis took them in, he loved and cared for them as if they were his own and to them, he was "dad". Together Dennis and Kathy shared Forty-eight years of love and laughter, side by side while cherishing every minute they had with each other and their family.

Dennis enjoyed the outdoors and the many hours of "front porch farming" he shared with Kathy. He enjoyed a good trip to the casino and often came home on the winning end. He loved his grandchildren and could be found in the bleachers or on the sidelines of any game or event they had, he was always there. He loved to visit and didn't know a stranger. Of all the things he loved about this life, time spent and laughter shared with those closest to him is what he treasured most.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (Caudle) Toops; four sons, Darain Brown and his wife Shelley, Todd Brown and his wife Cheryl, Denny Toops and his wife Lori, Josh Toops and his wife Crystal; nine grandchildren, Derrick and his wife Kaity, Breanna, Molly and her husband Garrett, Maddie, Carter, Addie, Alli, Alyssa, and Millie; two great-grandchildren, Nash and Nora; three sisters, Elsie Miller, Virginia Taylor and Janice Headrick; other relatives and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lester and Alvin Toops.

Dennis was many things to many people. Most importantly he was a Husband, a Father, a Grandfather, a Great-Grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed and his memories will stay in the hearts of those he loved.

Memorials have been suggested to St. Judes.
