Dennis J. Vecchi

Dennis J. Vecchi, age 85 years, of Plymouth, died Monday, April 1, 2024 at Stafford Hill Assisted Living in Plymouth, surrounded by his devoted and loving family. He was the husband of the late Ann Vecchi, who just recently died in August 2023. Dennis was born in Plymouth on November 7, 1938 and was a graduate of Plymouth High School and Fischer Junior College. He was a United States Army veteran stationed in Germany prior to his discharge in 1960, the year he married the love of his life. Denny started his professional life working for Plymouth Men's Shop and worked many years at Commonwealth Electric Company as a supervisor. In later years he worked as a starter for Atlantic Golf Course in Plymouth. He had a passion for the game of golf and was a longtime member of Plymouth Country Club and Heritage Palms during his many years in Ft. Myers, Florida during his retirement, He enjoyed the golf community with his wife, Ann, and was proud of his "hole-in-one". He also enjoyed his membership with the American Legion in Plymouth for many years.
He will be missed by his children Donna Osborn and her husband Robert of Plymouth, Deborah Kierstead and her husband Wade of Wareham, John Vecchi and his wife Darleen of Plymouth and Susan Martin and her husband William of Sagamore Beach, his brother Robert Vecchi and his wife Patricia of Plymouth., He cherished his thirteen grandchildren and ten great – grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Richard Vecchi, Beatrice Howe and Mary Vecchi.

Visitation with the Vecchi family will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 4:00PM – 6:30PM in the CARTMELL-DAVIS LIFE CELEBRATION FUNERAL HOME, 373 Court Street, Plymouth (next to Cordage Park) with services at 6:30PM. Private interment will be held In Plymouth County Cemetery, Plymouth at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452
