Dennis Anthony Patrick Wallace

Dennis A. Wallace, 82, took his final flight to heaven on November 18, 2024. Born in Peoria, IL on December 1, 1941, a true Scotch-Irish Catholic who embodied his heritage and faith. His love of aviation led to Ozark Airlines where he met his soul mate, a small country girl from Inwood, IA named Sue. As the story goes, I’m gonna marry that girl. Through the highs and lows and turbulence of life, they remained steadfast with their vows and love. She stood by him as a caregiver through his dementia that led to his untimely death. Retired pilot and RV businessman in Wichita, KS. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Alice Craig, sister Diane Lowery, daughter, Heather, granddaughter, Hannah, and son-in-law, Steven L. Miller. Survived by wife of 59 years, Sue; daughters Denise (Patrick) Phillips, Stacy Miller, Darby (Jack) Standiferd, all from Wichita. A proud grandpa to Brady (Stephanie Clark) Haag, Zachary (Elizabeth) Allen, Baleigh (Will March) Haag, Jackson Phillips, Raef Phillips, Hadley Standiferd, and ChloeStandiferd, and great granddaughter Emery. A devoted uncle (like a second dad) to Candy Suhre and Troy (Laurie) Skow and brother-in-law Ray Lowery and first- cousin Taffy Walker. With many other family members that he loved. The family appreciates your love and support. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 9:30am on Saturday, December 14 at Catholic Church of the Magdalen, Mass will follow at 10:00am. A commital service will take place after Mass at Kensington Gardens Cemetery.
