Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Norma Willoughby Whitaker; 1 daughter: Melissa (Robert) Russell of Austin, Arkansas; 2 sons: Tony (Mary) Whitaker of Jeffersonville, Scott (Lisa) Whitaker of Winchester; 8 beautiful grandchildren: Mason Whitaker, Alex Whitaker, Adam (Elizabeth) Whitaker, Andrew (Anna) Whitaker, Allisan (Mason) Baker and Jacob Russell, Jayden Russell and Jaxon Russell; 2 great grandchildren: Ben Whitaker and Heidi Baker.
Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and 1 sister.
A Visitation services will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals. A Private Graveside Service will be at the Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery. Officiated by Linville Spangler and Glen Sizemore.
Pallbearers: Chuck Toy, Dave Brown, David Jones, Bob Howard, Ray Hughes, Ted Hiler.
Honorary Pallbearer: Isiah Vires.
Funeral services entrusted to the care of Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals, 1002 Woodford Drive, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353
