Dennis Edward Zug

In loving memory of Dennis Edward Zug, also known as "Denny" or "D.Z." (for Danger Zone). After years of struggling with dementia, he passed peacefully in his sleep on April 21, 2025.
Denny has left this world to join his mother, Margaret Zug; father, Wilber Zug Sr.; brothers Joe Zug, Patrick "Pat" Zug, and Richard "Sundance" Zug; brother in-law Robert "Taz" Tasnady; and several beloved friends.
Denny is survived by a large family including but not limited to his children, Jason Sharp, Denny "Joey" Zug, and Maria Jackson; grandchildren Emalie Sharp, Zoe Jackson, Daniel "Danny" Jackson, and Tiny Jackson; great-grandson River Nichols; brothers Mike Zug (Andi), John Zug (Deb), Colt Zug (girlfriend Mary Rowe), and Rebel Zug; sisters Regina House (Scott) and Ina Tasnady; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many lifelong friends, including Bert Porter, Kathy Wade Hillegas, Ricky Wagner, Debbie Gascoigne, and so many others.
Denny was born on July 30th, 1956, in Stuttgart, Germany, raised in Columbia, PA, and relocated to Hampton, VA in 1972. He spent most of his life in Hampton, with a fondness for Buckroe Beach. He worked as a Fisherman and Scalloper for Seaford Scallop Company in Seaford, VA. He had many loves and was loved by many. He had a free spirit and was full of life. He was always sharing funny jokes and fun stories. He was a big music fan and enjoyed bands such as The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Buffet, The Beetles, and Pink Floyd. He had a love for beautiful women like Tina Turner and Reba McIntyre.
All Denny ever wanted was to enjoy life to the fullest, make everyone smile. and a tequila sunrise at happy hour.
Denny will be deeply missed by all of us. His spirit will live on with an abundance of fun and loving memories he so graciously left us.
