Denny Floyd Cooley

Denny F. Cooley, 82, passed away on January 7, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1943 the son of the late Floyd and Hilda Cooley.

He retired after many years of dedicated services from General Tire. Denny was an avid bowler, and was known in his community for his exceptional skill on the lanes, proudly achieving numerous 300 scores throughout his bowling career. He also enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. Denny loved the Guardians and Ohio State Football team and was always cheering them on.

Denny's presence was a source of inspiration and joy to many, leaving a loving mark on the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years, Donna Jo; daughter Teri Fox; and grandson Roger Fox.

Denny is survived by his loving family, daughters Tami (Ryan) Breiding and Lisa (Mike) Scafe; grandchildren Jackie Fox, Kayla Tricaso, Andrew Tricaso, Michael Tricaso, Allie Tricaso, Haley Breiding, and Drake Breiding; siblings Ricky Cooley and Jim (Terry) Cooley; and many other relatives and many of his beloved bowling friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home131 N. Canton Rd., Akron 44305.
