Elkhorn – Denny was a lifelong farmer and cattle feeder. He was preceded in death by wife of 70 years: Marian; parents: Ted and Mabel Witt; daughter: Sally Hurst; Survived by daughter: Kathy Johnson and partner: Kerry Petersen; son: John Witt and wife: Michele Witt; grandchildren: Jacob Hurst, Jamie West and husband: Dave West, Aaron Hurst, Nolan Johnson and wife: Rebecca, Casey Johnson and wife: McKenna, Bailey Witt, Rhett Witt; great-grandchildren: Holden Hurst, Treighton Higby, Wittaker West, Langdon West, Asa West, Tolson Johnson, Reagan Johnson, Riley Johnson, baby West (in April); special family members: Richard Johnson, Jeromy Schnell and wife: Carrie, and their children: Caleb Schnell and Madison Schnell.
Visitation: 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday (3/15/2026) at Roeder Mortuary Gretna Chapel; Service 11:00 AM Monday (3/16/2026) at Waters Edge United Methodist Church 19600 Harrison St Gretna, NE; Burial 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Omaha, NE.
