Denton Bullock Obituary
Lloyd "Denton" Bullock was born on September 25, 1929 to Henry and Nora Bullock in Somerset, Kentucky and departed this life on November 1, 2025 at the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation Center in Brodhead, Kentucky.
On October 7, 1947 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Katherine Warren Bullock in Somerset, Kentucky and within this union they were blessed with 4 children; Eva & (Ronald) Wesley, Barty & (Joyce) Bullock, Bonnie & (Doug) Haste all of Science Hill, Kentucky and David O. & (Glenda) Bullock of Somerset, Kentucky.
Denton was a lifelong farmer and business man. He was owner and operator of Bullock Egg Farm for more than sixty years, along with Dave's Market, Valley View Supermarket, and Fairway Auto Sales. He was a faithful member and Deacon of Jacksonville Baptist Church in Science Hill, Kentucky where he taught the Adult Sunday School class for more than sixty years.
Denton was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nora Bullock; his wife, Katherine Bullock; his brother, O.M. (Oddren) Bullock of Science Hill, Kentucky; his sisters, Ida Bumgardner of Greencastle, Indiana and Stella Warren of Science Hill, Kentucky; and one infant brother, Chester B. Bullock.
He is survived by his four children; eight grandchildren; Mitchell & (Tracy) Wesley of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Kathy & (Phillip) Middleton of Eubank, Kentucky, Cindy & (Matthew) Patterson, Chris & (Amanda) Bullock both of Science Hill, Kentucky, Dawnetta & (Kevin) Smiley of Eubank, Kentucky Steven & (Elizabeth) Haste of Science Hill, Kentucky, Amy & (Mark) Witt of Somerset, Kentucky, and Amber & (Al) Gager of Ferguson, Kentucky; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Brandon Patterson and Bro. Jimmy Thompson officiating.
Entombment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time for services at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
