Denver Allen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel on Feb. 26, 2026.
Mr. Denver Jack Allen, age 83, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Friday, February 27, 2026 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to be at Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

Denver was born February 1, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Lee Franklin Allen and Floranell (Pless) Allen. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Florene (Payne) Allen; brothers, Harold (Betty) Allen, Horace (Estelle) Allen; brother-in-law, Pete Payne; sister-in-law, Vonerine Payne Gilreath

Denver was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed taking his nephews to races. He owned and operated Allen Auto Sales in Murrayville, Georgia for over 50 years and ran a go-kart track for several years in the 1970's. He loved his family and making people laugh was his Number 1 goal. He was always smiling and everything was funny to him. The most important thing to him though happened at the age of 57, when he gave his life to Jesus. He was a member at Chestatee Baptist Church.

Denver is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Paul Stover; sister-in-law, Bernice Payne; nephews, Tim (Lisa) Allen, Mark Gilreath and Jeff (Jennifer) Payne; nieces, Lynn Allen Redmon and Tina Payne and a number of great-nieces and nephews also survive.
