Denzil Shoffner Obituary
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved cooking out, but most of all he loved his family.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Amy DeSpain Shoffner; six brothers, Mickey, Lawrence, Coy, Ruhel, Garnett and Thomas Shoffner and a brother-in-law, Harold Bray.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Shoffner; two daughters, Elaine Shoffner and Melissa Shoffner; two sons, Denny (Paula) Shoffner and Chester (Amanda) Shoffner; two sisters, Faye Bray and Betty (Jim) McGarvey; two brothers, Ronnie (Norma) Shoffner, and Larry (Emma) Shoffner; eleven grandchildren, Alicia, Cody, Celena, Denny Michael, Garrett, Matt, Mitchell, Matthew, Emma, Gracie and Clayton and six great-great-grandchildren, Kylan, Sterling, Isla, Meyers, Macie, and "one in the oven".
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 2, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with burial to follow in Union Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
