Derald Mahy Obituary
Age 88, of New Lenox, passed away on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
Duke is survived by his loving family, wife, Audrey Mahy (Litwitz), children, William Mahy, Scott Mahy, Jeffery (April) Mahy, grandchildren, Joseph (Cheyna) Mahy, Zachary (Deima) Mahy, Hayley (Jason) O'Brien, Tyler (Haley Guynes) Mahy, Nicholas Mahy, Ryan Mahy, Jake (Morghan) Mahy, Mackenzie (Marco Berto) Mahy, great grandchildren, Luna Mahy, Camden Mahy and Tatum O'Brien.
Duke was preceded in death by his parents, Victor & Matilda Mahy (Bezinque), son, Derald R. Mahy, siblings, Rosalie Smith, Velma Ambrose, Wayne Mahy and grandson Derald Mahy Jr.
Duke was a United States Army Veteran and retired as the Water Superintendent for Country Club Hills as well as the Captain of the Country Club Hills Fire Department.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 from 2:00 PM until a time of sharing memories at 6:00pm. Interment will be private.
