Derek Brewer Obituary
Derek Clayton Brewer, age 20, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. Derek was born June 20, 2003 in Blairsville, Georgia to Clay Brewer and Heather Williams. He played football for the Towns County Indians throughout high school and was a huge Auburn football fan. Derek loved being outside, had an infectious smile and the biggest heart. Derek was a loving father to his baby girl and best bud to his dad and older brothers. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Russ Williams. He is survived by his mother, Heather Williams; father, Clay Brewer; companion, Layla Ledford; daughter, Novalee Brewer; sister, Ashley (Dylan) Smith; brothers, Ryan Brewer (Madison Grindstaff), Jared Brewer (Aurora Lindsey); grandparents, Robert and Brenda Brewer, Belinda Williams, Vicki Nicholson; uncle, Chris (Jennifer) Brewer, Eric Williams, Scott Williams; aunts, Erica Roach, Lindsey Williams; three nieces and a nephew on the way. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Young Harris Mayors Park. Banister-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Derek Brewer.
