Derek Tucker Obituary
Yadkinville – Derek Wesley Tucker, 59, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was born May 21, 1965 in Yadkin County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Pettit Tucker. He is survived by his father, Jimmy Wesley Tucker; daughters, Brandy (Tyler) Grubbs, Jessica (Jackson Taylor) Tucker; ex-wife, Loretta Tucker. His funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Chris Hauser. Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank Ember White, who Derek considered his best friend in the whole wide world, Dena Shore, who Derek considered as a third daughter, and The Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Derek. Memorials can be made to South Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 1336 Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Tucker family.
