Deric Antonio Ogburn who was affectionately called “Bo-Bo” was born on October 17, 1975 in Thomaston, Georgia to the parents of Ella Kendrick and Ocicle Ogburn. 

He grew up and attended the public schools of Taylor County. He graduated from Taylor County High School in Butler, Georgia.  Bo-Bo grew to be an industrial young man who was quiet and often to himself except his friend base he enjoyed their company. He was gainfully employed at Purdue Farms in Perry, Georgia. Bo-Bo loved listening to his music. He was a huge sports fan. His favorite team was Green Bay Packers and the Georgia Bulldogs. In his leisure he enjoyed just riding around and he would often take his grandmother on those rides with him. Bo-Bo was also known for grilling out,  he loved to barbecue when the time permitted him, and his favorite sports icon was the late Coby Bryant. 

Bo-Bo traded in this life of ups and downs for a more peaceful life in the arms of God. He slept quietly away while receiving care at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Ga. On Sunday May 18, 2025.

Bo-Bo was preceded  in death by his daughter Alasia Towns, 

Deric is survived by his mother Ella Kendrick, father Ocicle Ogburn, daughter Mariel Monae Towns, maternal grandmother Helen Riley Kendrick Kemp, brothers Ocicle Ogburn, Jr. Tony Ogburn, Chris Montgomery, sisters Tracy Ogburn, Kimberly Ogburn, aunts and uncles Belinda Kendrick, Gloria Kendrick, Willie Mae Ogburn, Carolyn Ogburn, Ollie Mae McCrary, Barbra Ann Majors Durham, Cleo Ogburn, JC Kendrick, Willie Kendrick, Curtis Ogburn, one Grandaughter Ke’Ari McCorkle and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss Bo-Bo dearly.
