Derrick N'colt Arnett, 40, of North Ogden, Utah passed away on October 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Derrick was the only child to mother Lori Lynn Arnett and the oldest child to father Robert Willis Arnett and wife Nancy Arnett. Derrick was born on December 9, 1984 at McKay Dee hospital in South Ogden, Utah.
Derrick worked as a mechanic and maintenance professional most of his life. He had his Master Tech Certification in both Electrical equipment and Internal Combustion engines. There was nothing that Derrick couldn't fix or modify if he got his hands on it. He worked for Intermountain Lift Truck and switched to Dillon Toyota Lift roughly two years ago. Every company that Derrick did service for switched from Intermountain Lift to Dillon Toyota because they did not trust anyone else to do maintenance on their machinery but him.
Derrick was a hard worker and a mechanical genius since he was a kid. It all started with fixing vacuum's and taking anything he could apart just to put it back together again.
Derrick was a one of a kind person that anyone was lucky to have gotten to know. He was quick witted, funny, blunt, honest, and most importantly loving. He put the needs of everyone else above his own and provided for those he loved and cared about. Derrick was a loving husband who cherished his wife, Autumn Marie Arnett, through out their 22 year relationship and their 18 years of marriage. He was an exceptional father to his three amazing kids: Tyson Jordan Burton, Jackson Derrick Arnett, and Brielle Victoria-Ann Arnett. He did everything in his power as a father and a husband to make sure that his wife and kids were taken care of and loved every single day. Derrick was the oldest in his family and had two loving sisters Tiffany Bonner and Andrea Judd. He was also a loving uncle to both of his nieces, Milly Jean Bonner and Oakley Dianne Bonner.
Derrick loved his family, his projects, his hummer, and sending GIFs constantly in the family group chats. He always made everyone laugh, solved everyone's problems, and without fail was always everyone's number one father, husband, friend, and coworker.
Derrick is survived by his loving wife, Autumn Arnett; his three children Tyson Burton, Jackson Arnett, Brielle Arnett; Son in law Corbin Tharp; Parents Lori Arnett, Robert Arnett, and Nancy Arnett; Father in law Adair Vaterlaus; In laws Anjelica Vaterlaus and Tony Vaterlaus; Siblings Tiffany Bonner and Andrea Judd.
