Obituary of Derrick Allen Parrish
Mr. Derrick Allen Parrish, age 49, a resident of Auburndale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 9, 2023. Mr. Parrish was born January 30, 1974 in Winter Haven, Florida to Sidney Allen and Barbara Latricia (Greer) Parrish. He was a lifetime Auburndale resident, graduated from Auburndale High School, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Ministerial Studies and an Associate's Degree in Computer Sciences. Derrick was in the Construction Industry and certified in Outboard Marine Boating. He attended Auburndale Community Church and Lakes Church of Auburndale. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, singing, helping people and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal & maternal grandparents and aunt – Myra Jones. Derrick is survived by his loving family, daughter – Miracle Rae Parrish of Polk City, Florida; mother – Bobbie Elmore of Auburndale, Florida; brother – Sidney "Chip" Parrish and wife Darla of Auburndale, Florida; 2 nephews – Saige Parrish and wife Haleigh of Lakeland, Florida and Carson Parrish of Auburndale, Florida; uncle – Lamar Jones of Alabama; aunt – Joyce Burgess of Warren Robbins, Georgia; 6 first cousins – Latricia Pope and husband Kelly of Warren Robbins, Georgia, Cheree Burgess and husband Rick Schuetz of Winter Springs, Florida, Gwen Gregory of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jeff Parrish of Lakeland, Florida, Lisa Jordan and husband Robert of Alabama & Jerry Jones and wife Diane of Alabama; many other extended family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Derrick's name to – The Parrish House of Hope, P.O. Box 263, Auburndale, Florida 33823. A celebration of Derrick's life will be held on Saturday, October 21st at Lakes Church, 341 Polk City Road "Hwy 559", Auburndale
