Derris was born on January 27, 1963 in Perry, Oklahoma to George and Ann (Folsom) Givens.
Derris is survived by his mother, Ann Givens; sister, Christina Chantnacran and her husband, Mike; his kids, Jennifer Brownlee and her husband, Jeff, Joni Leigh and her husband, Levi, and Jason Schechter; numerous nephews, a niece; cousins; and several aunts and uncles.
Derris is preceded in death by his wife, Jennfier (Bittiker) Givens; father, George Givens; and brother, Billy Givens.
Derris was a gentle giant. He was kind and willing to help anyone who asked for it.
There will be no public service. He wanted you to remember him as he was in your favorite memory. He will be very missed.
