Derry Williams Obituary
Derry attended Henry Clay School. Derry worked as a welder at Kentucky Steal in Lexington and as a chef at Silver Nugget Casino in Las Vegas.
Derry had a special love for fishing for bass!! He would often spend time walking and fishing at a lake or pond for hours as relaxation and downtime!!
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, ShaMona and Darrika Demus both of Lexington, Kentucky; sons, Tanu Kenya Dyer of Phoenix, AZ, Demetrius Dyer, Fayetteville, NC; sister Linda Williams, brother Sidney (Molly) Williams and Pete (Willetta) Williams; special friend Bonnie Shelton; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at New Zion United Methodist Church, 122 New Zion Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40511.
Visitation: 11:00-1:00 pm. Funeral at 1:00 pm. Burial following services at New Zion Cemetery. Fender Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
