LaBlanche Marie Wheat Trumbo entered eternal rest peacefully at her home on February 11, 2026. She was born on April 21, 1958 to James L. Wheat Sr. (Charlotte) and the late Anna L. Grey (Charles).

She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Midway, KY. She was a graduate of Tates Creek High School, and after graduation she pursued her dream of becoming a licensed Cosmetologist. She loved life, family, friends and doing hair. Her personality, skills, talent and creativity brought joy to so many people and she was loved and will be missed by many.

Blanche has found eternal peace alongside her mother Anna L. Grey, son Prejon Trumbo; grandmother, Annette Hill and sister, Anita Butler.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Amon Trumbo, daughter, Breyana Trumbo (Charnele), daughter of love Michelle Landon (Scott), grandchildren of love Dominic Landon, Dalyn Landon, father James L. Wheat Sr. (Charlotte), stepfather, Charles Grey, sisters, Stephanie Wheat-Shelby, Janet Reese, Tina Sanders (Dean) and Ann Grey Rice (Frank), brothers, James L. Wheat Jr. (Theresa) Keith Reese and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins uncles, family and friends.

Blanche had many friends, but her close circle (extended family) encompassed Murrell Miles, Tiny White and goddaughters, Davita Hawkins, EB Elliott, Julanineh Hale, Jessica Hale, Acaesia Johnson Wortham and life-long friend John Chenault, whose unwavering love and support were a blessing to her throughout her life.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Douglass Park Shelter, 726 Georgetown Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40508 at 3:30 PM. Fender Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
