Desiree Lynette Reddick was born April 21, 1965 to Walter Mae Reddick and Johnny Oxendine in Sumpter County Hospital in Americus, Georgia. She lived in Leslie, Georgia until about age 4 then moved to NJ with her mom for a better life. She attended 13th Avenue and Marcus Garvey Elementary Schools and Arts High School all in Newark, NJ.
Desiree had many jobs such as at Bell Atlantic telephone company, but overall she was a maintenance supervisor for many years at 50 So. Clinton, Kean College, and Waste Management. She also volunteered for many years at St Ann's Church helping and serving many families in need. Desiree also attended Second Home Adult Day Care where she developed and rekindled many relationships with her peers which she loved to attend every week.
Desiree loved attending parties and events, dressing up with costumes and nice gowns, surprising people with cakes and gifts, and just overall spreading love, joy, and cheers.
Desiree Reddick is preceded in death by Grandmother Betty Sue Reddick, Mother Walter Mae Reddick, daughter Myesha Reddick, daughter Naieemah Reddick, sister Belinda Reddick, brother Tyjuan Reddick. She is survived by long term significant other Olu Zakee, daughter Ayesha Reddick, son Al-Naikeem Reddick, son Kadeem Reddick, son Mumeen Reddick, son Naieem Reddick, daughter Aniyah Reddick, sister Brenda Collins, sister Ianthee Alabi and grandkids Synaszia, Desire, Ny'azjah, Sanai, Haneef, Jujuan, Teairra, Jamaire, Ashmar, Ashmir, Kanaye, Kaiaja, Kamiyah, Kylie, Ahlif, Reign, Kehlani, Kasai, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
