Desiree Marie Woodward

It is with great sadness that the family of Desiree Marie Woodward announces her passing on November 9, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born in Ojai, California on December 6, 1961. Desi had a lengthy, interesting career in business but her true love was always, her many years of teaching. She was a gifted teacher and so gratified when her students blossomed with her guidance.

Although seriously ill for the past 6+ years with a brain aneurism, surgery & later cancer & radiation poisoning, she refused to give up. She was concentrating on healing. Her goal was to attend her niece Jessica's wedding on November 15th. But her body, heart & soul had another direction. The Lord called her to Heavenly peace with her GrandMary & Granddad, Bill Prentiss.

Desi's favorite place was the beach. She frequented the lush beaches at Ocean City, Maryland & Daytona Beach, Florida, whenever she could. It was her happy and peaceful place!

Desi leaves her loving Mother, Patricia Prentiss McCord, her dear Sister, Valerie Rorabaugh, Brother-in-law David Rorabaugh & Brother, Anthony Prentiss McCord. Forever remembered by Niece, Jessica R. Thompson & Tommie Thompson, niece Haley Angulo & Alejandro & the joys of her life, great nephew, Bentley Eason and great niece & God Daughter, Penelope Thompson. She leaves Aunts and Uncles plus her cousins Megan, Scott, Irina and others with many fond memories.

Desiree's ashes will be blessed Friday, November 28, 2025 9AM, during the daily Mass @ The Basilica of Saint Paul, 317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Virginia.
