Dessie Boone Stone, 78

Dessie Boone Stone, 78, of Bostic, died Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Fair Haven Home of Bostic. 

She was the widow of Steve Stone, and a daughter of the late Lloyd and Effie Boone. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ray Stone; and siblings Tommy Boone, Junior Boone, and Margaret "Sid" Boone Martin. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Scott Stone and his wife Sheila, of Bostic, and Kevin Stone and his wife Debbie, of Gilkey; a sister, Tammy Haney of Myrtle Beach, SC; and 2 brothers, Billy Boone  and his wife Elaine of Charlotte and Eddie Boone of Spindale; her grandchildren, Chris Stone and his wife Courtney, Nick Stone, Brittany Stone Pope and her husband Justin, and Summer Birch and her husband Randy; her great grandchildren, Brinley Stone, Beckett Stone, Savannah Stone, Peyton Birch, and Tegan Birch. 

A small, informal Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30pm Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Marie Stone Graeper and Rev. Chris Glawson will officiate. Pallbearers are Chris Stone, Nick Stone, Justin Pope, Neil Boone, Shannon Philbeck, and Hunter Parker.
