Bobby D. Hoyle, 89, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, February 8, 2026.
He was the son of the late William David Hoyle and Easter Bell Hoyle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Womack, Louise Pettit, and Ruth Head; his brothers, J.C. Hoyle, Morgan Hoyle, Oliver Hoyle, and Norman Hoyle. Bobby was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean war and retired from Elmore Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Hoyle; his sons, Gordon Hoyle and his wife Janice, of Caroleen, and Chris Hoyle of Shiloh; and his grandson, Bricen Hoyle of Maryland.
The Funeral will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Mountain View Baptist Church. The Rev. Clayton Hartsell and Rev. Wayne Toney will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
The Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm Thursday at the church prior to the service.
