Destiny Lee Thomas, age 41, of Panama City, Florida, entered eternal rest in the Lord, on October 6, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1984, in Panama City, Florida, where she spent her life surrounded by the family and community she loved.
Destiny was a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful follower of Jesus. She had a servant's heart, a joyful spirit, and a love for others that beautifully reflected the heart of Christ. They truly don't make wives and mothers like her anymore.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Lance Thomas, their three beloved children, Hannah, Buddy, and Kirk, and her father and mother Ray and Peggy Sweet. She is also survived by a multitude of family members and friends who loved her deeply.
Destiny was an aspiring nurse at Gulf Coast State College and a hardworking woman both inside and outside of her home. She loved her church, caring for her beloved animals, and spending time with her family. She had a heart for serving others and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile. Her laughter filled every room she entered, and her kindness left an imprint on every heart she touched.
Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. Destiny lived each day with grace and gratitude, inspiring others through her example of love and perseverance. Though her time here was too short, her light will continue to shine through her family, her friends, and all who knew her.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home. On Friday, October 10, 2025, the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon with a funeral mass to follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Callaway Cemetery.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
Her love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Serving as pallbearers are Kenny Taylor, Brad Marchbanks, Caleb Kirkpatrick, Keith Kirkpatrick, John Thomas and Jason Thomas.
