Devin Lee Shaffer, 29, of New Paris, Ohio, died Monday, September 22, 2025, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Devin was born on May 16, 1996, in Richmond, Indiana and was a 2018 graduate of Tri County North High School in Lewisburg, Ohio. Devin had a great sense of humor and loved watching movies, but his greatest love was for his family and many friends at Cardinal-New Paris (formerly Foundations) and the Creative Learning Workshop.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jason Jones; maternal grandparents Marvin and Carol Shaffer; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Linda Jones and uncle, Marvin Shaffer, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Teresa Shaffer; his twin brother, Derrick Shaffer, brother, Timothy Shaffer and sister, Crystal Shaffer (Justin Floyd); aunt and uncle, Michelle (Mike) Freeland; niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family at Cardinal-New Paris.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Barnes Funeral Homes, Eaton, Ohio.
