DeVon Marie (Vitse) Lund, 67, of Rushford, MN, passed away on June 25, 2025 at her home.
DeVon was born on February 23, 1958 in La Crosse, WI to Millard and Clarice (Helland) Vitse. She grew up in Rochester, MN and graduated from Mayo High School. She later earned her bachelor's degree from Cardinal Stritch University after attending RCTC.
In 1978, DeVon married Dan DeFrang and welcomed a son that year. The couple later divorced. On November 30th, 1990, she married the love of her life, Todd Lund. Together they owned the Wise Owl Thrift Shop for 10 years. DeVon also had a long and fulfilling career at Mayo Clinic in Rochester beginning as a Medical Secretary and retiring from her role in Network Development.
DeVon had a deep faith in the Lord, a kind and beautiful spirit, and was a devoted member of New Hope Fellowship. She had a love for all animals and was active with pet rescue. She enjoyed gardening, thrift shopping, cross-stitch, cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and most of all, spending time with family.
DeVon is survived by her loving husband, Todd; her children: Nicholas (Jenny) DeFrang, Tiffany (Joseph) Lawler and Kirsten (Jarrad) Nickolite; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister, Christy Vitse (Andy VanWettering); and many extended family members and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Clarice Vitse and daughter, Valerie (Chris) Reimers.
A memorial service for DeVon will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00 am at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home (5421 Royal Place NW) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Lund family.
Memorials may be made to Paws and Claws Humane Society.
