DeWayne Floyd McGuire, age 90, of DuBois, PA, passed away during the morning hours of August 28, 2025, surrounded by family at his home. Born on June 12, 1935, in Brenizer, PA. He was the son of Floyd and Elsie (Ihli) McGuire.

He graduated from Derry Township School in 1953. He joined the National Guard and later the Army Reserves. He was a member and past Master of the Acacia Lodge #355 for over sixty years, a member of the JAFFA Shrine and order of Jesters. He was also a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in DuBois.

In March 2004, DeWayne married his longtime friend, Sandra Stroka; Sandra survives him.

DeWayne was employed by S&T Bank, Blairsville National, and Pittsburgh Nations Bank over the time of his working years.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting with his son, playing golf, and talking to everyone he met.

In addition to his wife, DeWayne is survived by his children: Cory (Stacie) McGuire and Kelly (Scott) Prola; stepchildren: Jim Stroka and Jerry (Kim) Stroka; and seven grandchildren: Cody (Savannha) Stroka, Morgan Stroka, Lauren Stroka, Paige Stroka, Callie McGuire, and Zachary Meyer.

In addition to his parents, DeWayne was preceded in passing by his sister: Dolores Rager.

Following DeWayne's wishes, there will be no public visitation, a private funeral for family will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 16 Denton Ave., DuBois, PA 15801, or to the Shriners Children's Hospital, donate.lovetotherescure.org.
