He was known for his work ethic and dedication. He owned DS&J Trucking from 1981-2020, as well as his work as a mechanic for several years.
He is survived by his son, James Kaye and wife Maria Kaye; daughter, Philieza Rice and husband Lonny Rice; daughter, Kindall Kaye, daughter, Kortney McMillion; daughter, Heaven Kaye; sister, Janie Guilliams; sister, Luane Stag; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents; previous spouse, Jima Gardner, previous spouse, Melissa Hart; and brother Rick Gardner.
