With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Dewey Jason Landry, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on September 26, 2024. Born on January 28, 1941, in Morgan City.
Dewey enjoyed the simple joys of life like fishing, boating, and spending time in the great outdoors typified his essence. He had a passion for music, especially swamp pop, which always lifted his spirits.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Blanca Landry, and will be dearly missed by his children, Dewey j. Landry Jr. and wife Melanie, Melissa LaBlanc, Derrell Landry and wife Julie, Michelle Landry, Shane Landry and wife Amy, Jenna Landry, Chadwick Landry, and Jason Grace, along with his sisters Tessie Blanco and husband Harley and Doris Elliot. Dewey leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Dewey was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Thelma Landry, Bertha Bernard, Brian Landry, Gwyn Veillon.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dewey Jason Landry will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on October 5, 2024, from1:00pm to 2:00 pm with a service of 2:00pm. The ceremony will honor his memory and pay tribute to the impact he had on the lives of those around him.
