Dewey Robert Parrish

Dewey Robert Parrish, affectionately known as "Robert," passed away peacefully at his residence in Norfolk, Virginia, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 61. Robert was born on October 28, 1964, in Germany.

Robert spent his formative years in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, where he graduated from high school. He later moved to Norfolk, Virginia, where he lived and worked for over 35 years. A skilled welder and fabricator, Robert dedicated many years of his career to Hercules Fencing in Norfolk.

Robert was an avid Washington Commanders fan, often seen cheering passionately for his team. He had a deep love for reading, spending countless hours immersed in books. One of his greatest joys was fishing on the Shenandoah River in West Virginia.

Robert is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Howard J. Parrish, Sr., and Polly Parrish. He is survived by his sister, Ladoska Jones of Thomson, Georgia, and his brother, Howard J. Parrish, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
