Peter Alexander Pochkowski

Peter Pochkowski, age 61, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed peacefully on Wednesday February 18th, 2026 , surrounded by love, leaving behind family and friends who will forever carry his quiet strength and compassion in their hearts. There is now a new star in the heavens, traveling across the rainbow bridge to reunite with dear friends as he journeys peacefully into eternity.

Pete was a devoted son, brother, and friend, known for his gentle spirit, integrity, and steady presence. A proud professional, he began his career at WVEC-TV as a sports producer, where he demonstrated dedication and excellence both behind the scenes and on air. Later in Las Vegas, he embraced new adventures, serving as a docent at The Mob Museum and working locally, before finding special joy in his role at Hilltop Hallmark, where he treasured daily conversations and friendships.

He valued time together, laughter, honest conversation, and classic movies, and remained positive even in difficult moments.

He is survived by his mother, Vicky Pochkowski; his brother, Mike, and sister-in-law, Karen; his beloved Chesapeake Bay retriever, Chardonnay; and many dear friends.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at Altmeyer Funeral Home and Cremation, Southside Chapel located at 5033 Rouse Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23462.
