William Dewey Shipman, 77, of Hope Mills passed away August 14, 2025.
Born in Cumberland County he was the son of the late William Clarence and Sally Tatum Shipman. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Faye Shipman.
He is survived by his current wife, Faye Shipman; sons, Ronnie Shipman & wife Wanda and Gary Shipman and wife Sarah; sister, Christine Delacruz; grandchildren, Casey Shipman, Meghan Risk and husband Grant, Gracie Shipman, Emma Shipman; great granddaughter, Rose Risk; step children, Ronnie Hardin & wife Kylie, Johnny Hardin, Donnie Hardin & wife Merry, Connie Hardin & husband Juan Sanchez and Odell Hardin, Jr.
Some of Mr. Shipman's hobbies include working in his yard, playing golf, sports, race cars, fishing, he loved his church and volunteering on leadership team doing outreach in the community.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest making memorials to Balm In Gilead Family Counseling Ministry 3110 Doc Bennett Road Fayetteville, NC 28348.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
