Dexter Benton Obituary
Dexter Eugene Benton 64, of 1313 E. Jasper St., passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at UNC REX Hospital.
Dexter was born June 24, 1958 in Sampson County to the late Henry Benton and Margaret Tyndall. He worked for over 15 years at Hope Family Farms and loved going to the beach every chance he got. Dexter loved good cooking and enjoyed eating. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Tyndall Grove PH Church, 800 Tyndall Grove Rd, Clinton, NC 28328.
Dexter is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret Benton as well as his sisters, Rita Benton and Donna Tyndall.
Left to cherish the memory of Dexter are his nieces and nephews: Chris (Lisa) Bishop, Pam Bishop, and Jessie (O'Bryan) Ammons, Samantha Knowles, and Johnathan Knowles; great nieces and nephews: Blake Bishop, Maykala Bishop, Trinity Ammons, and Jaelynn Ammons; and his brother in law and caregiver: Norman "Gator" Bishop.
