On September 18, 2025, Dexter Cokeley - beloved husband, father, and friend - transitioned from this life into the eternal embrace. After a courageous and hard-fought battle with Stage IV High-Grade Glioblastoma, he took his final rest in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center New York, NY.

Born in Brooklyn New York, on February 22, 1976, to Martha and Joseph Cokeley. Dexter grew up in Calabash, North Carolina, and graduated from West Brunswick High School ('94). It was there that he discovered his love for wrestling, keen sense of style, and luxury cars.

In his twenties, Dexter moved to New York, carrying with him determination, grit, and a vision. He poured his entrepreneurial spirit and car enthusiasm into building a successful business, becoming the owner of Classic Auto Detailing Inc. In time, his path led him to his wife and partner-in-crime of twenty years, Denise Cokeley.

Beyond his work, Dexter cherished the small joys in life: the quiet comfort of a fine cigar, being a devoted "girl dad" to his daughters, the warmth of time shared with his wife, and creating lasting memories with family and close friends.

Dexter will be remembered for his infectious smile that warmed every soul he met. His light will be carried on through his beloved wife, Denise Cokeley; his children, Shaneikwa Jones, Takayla King, Madison Cokeley, Destiny Price, and Dreymere Price; Grandson, Devion Price. Siblings, Monique Daniels, Katrina Gillard, Belinda Vereen (Anthony), Suzanne Williams, Darriel Joseph Cokeley, and Willie Norris Cokeley; his father, Joseph Norris Cokeley; and countless nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Loretta Cokeley.

Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life fully lived, deeply loved, and endlessly cherished. Dexter's transition is not an ending - he remains near as an enduring presence, woven into the love, memories, and the hearts of all who were touched by him.

Revelation 21:4

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away."
