Mr. Oden passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 9, 1941, in Morgan County, to Noah Oden and Leeotie Ward Oden.

He was a loving husband to Janet, and a wonderful, caring, father to his three daughters, his bonus daughter and his two bonus sons, who all thought the world of him. He always said he loved his extended family as much as his own, and they all loved him in return.

He had been a member of Macedonia Baptist Church at Oden Ridge for many years, even helped build it long ago. He served as a Volunteer at Oden Ridge Volunteer Fire Department for about 30 years, and was a member of the Alabama Road Riders Motorcycle Club.

He went to Eva School from 1st - 12th grade, where he played basketball and was a pretty good player. He loved his classmates and kept in touch with most of them and had regular meetings with some.

He was drafted and served proudly for 2 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

His last job before retirement was for Roadway Trucking Company, and then drove a Logging Truck for Frankie Brindley. He loved changing gears in those "Big Rigs". His favorite thing was traveling with his wife, from Key West to Mackinaw Island in Michigan, from California to Savannah, and Maine to New York, they even went to Canada. He loved to travel around the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers- Arvil and Rolland Oden.
