It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Diana Marie Bauer, of Traverse City on December 14, 2024, at the age of 46 years.
Diana will be dearly missed by her mother and best friend, Dawn Bauer; father, Daniel Bauer; siblings: David (Kristen) Bauer and Lisa Pugh; nieces: Anna Bauer and Mary Bauer; nephew Daniel Bauer; God parents Tom and Katie Richter; devote friend "Big Bob" Robert Ogur; Bentley, Diana's loyal dog and companion of 13 years; and many other family, friends, and community members.
Diana was loved and cherished by all who knew her. She was extremely loyal to her family and fiercely loved them, especially her nieces and nephew; Anna, Mary, and Daniel to whom she will always be, "the cool aunt." Diana and her best friend and mother, Dawn, enjoyed spending days together working out, shopping, traveling, and spending summers at Duck Lake surrounded by family. Among her many joys, Diana and her friend "Big Bob" loved boating, restaurants, and watching football. Diana was a devoted special education teacher for 15 years and then became a personal fitness trainer at Elite Fitness North. She loved her clients and her energy and smile were the heartbeat of the gym. The owner Tony and Diana often joked that she had gym shoes for every outfit and that, "Diana came with the lease."
Visitation will be held at 11:00am with a 12:00pm funeral mass and luncheon to follow on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church, 2912 M-113, Kingsley, MI 49649.
Memorial donations may be made in Diana's name to Project Feed the Kids, 1081 South Airport Rd., Traverse City, MI 49686.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of Munson Medical Center, particularly Sara, Linda, Dr. J.P. Milliken, and Dr. R.A. Barraza for their care and compassion.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
