Diana Sue (Bell) Beatty left this world to go home on January 14, 2026. A woman of immense strength and dedication, she lived loving her family for 67 years.
Born on April 16, 1958, Diana built a distinguished career in Operations Property Management, a field she served with excellence for 27 years. She wished to extend her heartfelt thanks to Todd Amsdell, her employer and mentor, for his guidance and friendship throughout her professional journey.
Diana was the beloved wife of John Beatty, her husband of 30 years. She was a devoted mother and is survived by her son, Stephen Escue (Hang Zheng). She also leaves behind her brother, Steve Bell (Shannon); her nieces, Tori Thompson (James) and Melissa Hershner and nephew, Zachary Bumgarner; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.
In her passing, Diana joins those who went before her: her son, Ernie Escue; her mother and father, Stella and Clyde Bell; and her sister, Debi (Bell) Hershner. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with them in peace.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida. Following the Mass, Diana will be returned to her roots for a Rite of Committal at the family cemetery on their land in Makanda, Illinois.
