Diana Brutkiewicz, née Lopez, passed away August 8, 2022 in Glenview, IL. She was born in New York City in 1932 to John and Grace Lopez. She was married to the late Jerry Brutkiewicz for 68 years. Diana is survived by her children: Sandy Palfrey, Randy (Sue) Brutkiewicz, and Jean (John) Cameron; grandchildren: Aaron and Amy Brutkiewicz, and Alex Karpuk; and her sister, Alice (Bob) Felix. She was predeceased by her husband and her son-in-law, Clive Palfrey.
Diana grew up in Willimantic, Connecticut but moved to Saginaw, Michigan after she was married. Diana worked as a telephone operator for many years and enjoyed volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital. She was a talented painter and created beautiful embroidery. Diana was a long-time member of SS. Peter and Paul Church.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
